The 2026 race was run on Saturday 17 October. The 2027 date has not been announced yet. The details below are the 2026 edition's. It starts at 8:00 near Camden Yards, and it finishes at the Inner Harbor on Pratt Street. The organiser says the course is a Boston qualifier, with a hill from about mile 16 to 20 that it compares to Boston's Heartbreak Hill.

You collect your number on Friday at the Baltimore Convention Center unless you already selected the mailing option. There is no collection on race morning.

Collecting your number 2026 details

Collect at the Baltimore Convention Center, Hall A, on Friday 16 October from 11:00 to 19:00. Bring the QR code from your confirmation email. The organiser's FAQ still carries some 2025 dates, so rely on the pick-up page for this year's hours.

A friend or family member can collect for you with your QR code and a copy of your photo ID. One person may collect only one other packet. The organiser says there is no race-morning collection. Shirt exchanges are done at the expo from bins.

The $35 priority-mail add-on closed on 2 October. If you already selected it, the organiser's target ship date is 8 October and you cannot collect the packet at the expo. The target shipping date is not a guaranteed delivery date.

Free parking is at Camden Yards Lot H. A free shuttle to the Convention Center runs, the organiser says, from 10:30 to 19:30 on Friday, about 15 minutes each way. You can also walk, just under a mile.

Race morning 2026 details

The marathon starts at 8:00, with the 10K. The organiser's pages disagree on the start line. The marathon page says it starts at 8:00 from Russell and Camden Streets, and the FAQ says South Paca and Camden Streets. Check the final runner information before race week.

Free parking on race day is in the stadium lots A, B, C and H, under a mile from the finish area. The closest light rail stop is Camden Station. Camden Yards has toilets open along Russell Street, and there are portable toilets along Russell Street, at Camden and Paca Streets and along Hamburg Street.

Bag check is open from 6:30 to 13:30. You must use the clear bags given out at the expo, which are also available on race day. Marathon bag buses wait near the stadium lots, then move to the Inner Harbor behind West Shore Park and the Visitor Center for collection. After 13:30 unclaimed bags go to the information tent.

The course 2026 details

The route goes through the Inner Harbor, Federal Hill and Fells Point, and through the Maryland Zoo. The organiser describes the climb from about mile 16 to 20, with relief on a loop around Lake Montebello. Its top line says the hill runs from mile 17 to 19. The last five miles are mostly downhill, and the finish is on Pratt Street in the shadow of the USS Constellation.

The course has 16 water stops with water and Gatorade, and at least two portable toilets at each. Gels are not provided. Snacks of bananas and salty snacks are at miles 8, 11, 20.5 and 23.5. Medical support is at miles 2.5, 7, 10, 13.5, 16, 20.5 and 24. The marathon has pacers.

You must be able to finish within 7 hours, a 16 minute per mile pace. Walkers start at the back. A walker who falls behind that pace can ride the sweep vehicle to the Inner Harbor or finish on the sidewalk.

Entering 2026 details

Online registration closes at 18:00 on 16 October, or earlier if the field is filled. The marathon field is capped at 2,500. If space remains, you can register in person at collection. Entries have no refunds and no transfers, although the organiser offers deferrals to 2027 until two weeks before the race, for a $30 fee. Registrants must be 13 or older.

Getting to Baltimore 2026 details

From BWI airport, Maryland's MTA runs the Light RailLink to Camden Station, which the organiser names as the closest light rail stop to the race. MTA's timetable shows a train leaving BWI at 4:59 and reaching Camden Station at 5:25. The trip takes about 26 minutes, with trains every 20 minutes at that hour. The page does not show a fare or the full Saturday timetable, so check MTA before you travel.

For the expo at the Convention Center, the organiser says to park free at Camden Yards Lot H, under a mile's walk away. A free shuttle takes about 15 minutes each way. The organiser's two pages give different shuttle hours. The pick-up page says 10:30 to 19:30 on Friday. The FAQ says 11:30 to 20:30 on each expo day, from the curbside island between lots G and H. Check which applies when the final instructions come out.

On race day, free parking is in stadium lots A, B, C and H, under a mile from the finish area. The middle of lots B and C is 0.87 miles away. The organiser says additional paid lots are across the city. The marathon and the 10K start at 8:00 at Camden Street. The organiser's pages disagree on whether that is at Russell Street or South Paca Street. The organiser has not published road closures in the pages we read, and it links an interactive closure map. Check it in race week.
