The Amsterdam Half Marathon, called the Mizuno Half Marathon by the organiser, is part of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon weekend. The 2026 race was run on Sunday 18 October. The 2027 race weekend is Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October 2027, but the organiser has not said which day the half is on (in 2026 it was the Sunday). The details below are the 2026 edition's.
Your number is collected at the RAI before Sunday, so the expo and the start are two separate trips.
Regular registration closed on 5 October 2026. There is no late registration or waiting list. Check the organiser-linked Atleta resale page for available bibs.

Collecting your number 2026 details
Everyone collects a number at the Marathon Expo in the RAI Amsterdam, including runners with a foreign address. Numbers are not posted.
The expo is open on Thursday 15 October from 13:00 to 20:00, Friday 16 October from 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 17 October from 9:00 to 19:00. It is closed on Sunday and you cannot collect a number then.
You collect with the QR code that the organiser emails in early October. The organiser says it is in the Le Champion app. Someone else can collect for you with your authorisation and your personal QR code. There is no cash machine at the expo, and most stands take cards.
If you take over a number through resale after 7 September, you take over that runner's wave and start time. You may start in a later wave, but not an earlier one.
Getting to the start 2026 details
The organiser recommends the metro to Station Zuid, from where the way to the Olympic Stadium and Sporthallen Zuid is signposted. Large parts of the city are closed to traffic on the Sunday. Trams and buses run a limited timetable, so do not plan on a tram across the centre. For the train, the organiser says to go to Amsterdam Zuid and follow the walking route.
The metro station Amstelveenseweg is closed on Sunday from 13:00 to 18:00 and no metros stop there. The organiser advises going home through Station Zuid, which is a walk from the stadium.
Parking near Sporthallen Zuid is limited. The organiser lists four car parks, at Schinkel, RAI parking on Europaplein, P ArenA and Station Noord, each with a metro ride. It says the Olympic Stadium garage cannot be used. If you cycle, there is a bicycle shed near the Na-Druk-Geluk bridge on the IJsbaanpad side.
Where to stay in Amsterdam
The expo is at the RAI and the race is around the Olympic Stadium, so you make two trips. A room near a metro line saves effort, because the organiser sends runners to Station Zuid for both the start and the trip home. The city centre is workable, but trams are limited on race day, so check the metro ride the evening before.
Race afternoon 2026 details
The start is in Start Area B on Stadionweg. The organiser asks you to arrive no earlier than half an hour before your own start time. Each wave matches an expected finish time, and your bib colour shows your wave.
The organiser's wave table gives these start times.
| Wave | Bib colour | Expected finish | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | White | Up to 1:35 | 13:20 |
| 2 | Yellow | TCS, Le Champion members, Business Run 1 and groups | 13:23 |
| 3 | Pink | Business Run 2 and 1:35 to 1:45 | 13:31 |
| 4 | Orange | 1:45 to 2:00 | 13:42 |
| 5 | Green | 2:00 to 2:15 | 13:50 |
| 6 | Blue | Over 2:15 | 13:55 |
The header of the organiser's page gives the start as 13:20 to 14:00, while its table ends at 13:55. The table's times are the ones used here. You will get your own start area and time in an email in the week before the race.
Clothing can be left free of charge in tents on the square in front of Sporthallen Zuid, open from 12:00 to 17:00. The organiser takes no responsibility for stolen or missing items. There are no lockers.
The course 2026 details
The half starts on Stadionweg and runs through Churchilllaan and Rijnstraat. It crosses the Amstel on the Utrechtse Bridge and continues through Watergraafsmeer and Zeeburg. From there it follows the marathon route through the city centre to the Olympic Stadium.
Drinks stations are at 6, 9, 9.5, 12, 14, 17 and 19.5 km, and each has toilets and first aid. The organiser's table marks its items with icons. Water is at every station except 9 km. Maurten drink mix is at 6, 9.5, 14 and 17 km, bananas at 6, 9.5, 14, 17 and 19.5 km, and sponges at 6, 12 and 17 km. The only gel is at 9 km, where nothing else is served. The organiser lists the finish as having a Maurten bar, water and a banana. The organiser gives no total climb figure.
The time limit is 3 hours. You must pass these points by the clock times below, and the Olympic Stadium finish is open until 17:00.
- 5 km by 14:40 - 10 km by 15:20 - 15 km by 16:00 - Finish by 17:00
If the sweeper vehicle catches you on the passing-time table, a jury member will ask you to board it. The roads reopen behind it, the water and medical points are removed, and you can no longer finish in the stadium. Runners taken off the course do not get a medal.
Pacers run both the marathon and the half. Hydration vests and headphones are allowed.
Weather in Amsterdam in October
These are the last five completed race days at Stadionweg, at 13:00, the hour that holds the first 2026 start at 13:20. The half has run on the same Sunday as the marathon each year, according to the organiser's results. They are model estimates for the start area, not readings from a weather station.

Afterwards 2026 details
You finish in the Olympic Stadium in front of the grandstand and receive a medal and, if needed, a heat sheet. Keep moving after the line. Water is at the finish, and outside the stadium you get a banana and water.
The medal engraving stand is in Sporthallen Zuid. Sporthallen Zuid also has limited changing rooms and showers. Collect your bag from the tents before 17:00.
Agree a meeting point with friends before the race. For the trip home, use Station Zuid, because the Amstelveenseweg metro station is closed from 13:00 to 18:00.
