The Gloucester Half Marathon and 10k start and finish at Gloucester Park on Spa Road. The organiser, Run Through, describes a mix of city streets, historic buildings and waterside running. The half marathon goes through the pedestrianised centre, past Gloucester Cathedral, round a closed-road circuit through Gloucester and Quedgeley, and onto the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal path.
The 2027 race is on Sunday 21 March, and both distances start at 9:00. The organiser has published the 2027 arrangements used below, except where another edition is named. It hasn't given a field size.

Getting to Gloucester
The organiser names Gloucester station as the nearest and says it is a short distance from the start. Check the walk against your train times before you book, because there's a 7:30 to 8:30 window for collecting your number.
There's no event parking. The organiser points drivers to the Parkopedia site for local car parks and says the spaces near the event village fill quickly.
Where to stay in Gloucester
The start and finish are in the city, so a bed in the centre means a walk. The organiser doesn't publish distances. A room near the park lets you collect your number, drop your bag and be on the start line by 9:00 without a tight connection.
Collecting your number
There is one collection window, on race day from 7:30 to 8:30 for all races. The organiser gives no other collection arrangements for 2027. If you're arriving from further away, that means being in Gloucester before 8:30 on a Sunday morning. A bed in the city the night before is the safer way to do it.
Race morning
Both races go at 9:00. The organiser runs a group warm-up starting 10 minutes before. There are toilets in the event village and halfway round the half marathon.
Bag drop is a secure marquee, included in your entry. Each number has a tear-off tag, which goes on your bag, and you show your number to get it back. You must be 17 for the half marathon and 15 for the 10k.
The course
The route starts and finishes at Gloucester Park. It goes through the pedestrianised streets of the centre, past Gloucester Cathedral, round a closed-road circuit through Gloucester and Quedgeley and onto the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal path. The route uses closed roads and gravel paths. The organiser calls it flat but publishes no total climb figure. The route map on the organiser's event page is an embedded map, and there is no course file to download.
Water is provided about every 5 km, and at the finish. The time limit of 3 hours is there because of the road closures, and 3 hours works out at about 8:32 per km.
Weather in Gloucester in March
The race falls on a Sunday between 22 and 31 March. These are the last three race days at Gloucester Park, at 9:00 and at 12:00. Dates for 2022 and 2023 couldn't be confirmed, so only three are shown.
