Generali Prague Half Marathon 2027
Saturday, 3 April 2027 · Prague, Czech Republic
The Prague Half Marathon is a Saturday-morning race on a looped course through the old city. The route passes Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, the National Theatre, Vyšehrad Castle and the Rudolfinum, and the start and finish are both at Bubenské nábřeží, on the Holešovice bank of the Vltava. It holds a World Athletics Elite Label and is one of the six SuperHalfs races.
The 2027 race is on Saturday 3 April, with 16,000 runners, according to the series page. The organiser's own 2027 pages are not up yet, so the times, expo hours and transport below are from the 2026 race, which was on Saturday 28 March.
The series page calls the course flat and fast and lists course records of 58:47 for men and 1:04:52 for women. The organiser does not publish a climb figure.

Getting to Prague
Václav Havel Airport has a trolleybus, line 59, to Nádraží Veleslavín on metro line A, which the airport puts at 17 minutes. A 90-minute ticket on all types of public transport costs CZK 50, and a 30-minute ticket CZK 39. The Airport Express runs to the main station from 5:30 to 22:00 every 20 to 30 minutes, takes about 40 minutes and costs CZK 100.
For the race you want line C of the metro, which stops at Vltavská and Nádraží Holešovice, the two stations the organiser names for the start. Your race number is not a transport ticket in Prague. The organiser sends runners to the PID Lítačka app for tickets.
Where to stay in Prague
The start is on the north side of the centre, on the river bank at Holešovice. Walking times from Bubenské nábřeží.
| Area | To the start |
|---|---|
| Holešovice, around Vltavská | 8 minutes on foot, 0.6 km |
| Karlín, around Florenc | 20 minutes on foot, 1.5 km |
| Nádraží Holešovice | 21 minutes on foot, 1.6 km |
| Výstaviště and Bubeneč | 30 minutes on foot, 2.3 km, and the expo is here |
| Hlavní nádraží, the main station | 33 minutes on foot, 2.5 km |
| Old Town Square | 35 minutes on foot, 2.6 km |
From the Old Town or the main station the start is a metro ride. A bed near Vltavská is a walk from both the start and the technical area. The expo at Výstaviště is 2.3 km from the start, so it is a separate trip.
Collecting your number 2026 details
In 2026 numbers were handed out at Křižíkovy pavilony in the Výstaviště, in Pavilion E, which is also where the T-shirts were. The hours were Thursday 26 March from 10:00 to 20:00, Friday 27 March from 10:00 to 21:00 and, for anyone who could not come earlier, race day from 6:30 to 8:00. In 2025 the expo was at the Holešovická tržnice, so the venue has changed once already.
Bring photo ID. The number has the timing chip on its back and safety pins, and the organiser warns that a bent or missing chip means no time. Your start group is the letter on the number.

There are toilets at each refreshment station, the technical facilities, and the start and finish areas.
The course
The course is certified at 21.097 km and closed to traffic, with a loop through the city centre past the landmarks above. The organiser's course description is written by the Prague tourist board and marks the points of interest, and a GPX file is on mapy.com.
Six refreshment stations start at 5 km and come about every 2.5 km after that, with a seventh at the finish. They serve Mattoni water, Gatorade, bananas, oranges, salt and sugar. The time limit is 3 hours from the start signal, with cut-offs at each kilometre, and a runner who misses one leaves the course.
