The 2026 marathon is sold out, according to the organiser's event page. There is no cup at any drink station, so carry your own soft flask, hydration pack or reusable foldable cup.

Collecting your number 2026 details
The expo and number collection are at the Nicéa congress centre in Port de Nice, on Quai Amiral Infernet. The organiser's pages give Thursday 5 November from 12:00 to 19:00, Friday 6 November from 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday 7 November from 9:00 to 20:00. The collection page prints the Thursday opening as 12.00am and the FAQ prints 12.00pm, so treat it as noon and check your voucher email.
Numbers are not posted and are not handed out on Sunday. Bring the voucher emailed a few days before the race, your ID and your licence or health prevention certificate (PPS) if you have not supplied it already. Someone collecting for you needs your complete file, your voucher and your ID or a copy of it, which can be on a phone.
Getting to Nice and Cannes 2026 details
From Nice airport, tram line 2 serves Jean Médecin and Port Lympia from Terminals 1 and 2. The airport gives a trip of less than 30 minutes and a weekday frequency of 7 to 8 minutes. Airport tram machines sell a €10 AERO return ticket. The €2 rechargeable-card charge is separate from travel. Check the operator for the ticket that suits your trip and the Sunday timetable.
The start is on the Promenade des Anglais, opposite the Théâtre de Verdure and the Méridien hotel. The finish is on the Esplanade des Alliés in Cannes, facing the Palais des Festivals. Your number is your free train ticket between Nice and Cannes in both directions for the whole of 8 November. You must keep it to show on the way back from Cannes. The regional rail operator gives the first train between the two cities at 5:31, the last at 23:10 and an average trip of 35 minutes. Check the timetable for the first train that gets you to the start before 8:00.
For spectators, the organiser has an offer with the regional train brand Zou for the day. It says friends should get off at Juan-les-Pins station and avoid the small Villeneuve-Loubet station. The organiser's pages give no train times, no station for the start and no advice on parking. We'll add it here when they do.
Where to stay in Nice
You start in Nice and finish in Cannes, so your bag and your free train ticket matter more than a hotel's address. Staying in Nice keeps the expo, the bag trucks on Place Masséna and the start on the same side of the trip. Staying in Cannes puts you at the finish, but then you travel to Nice before 8:00. The train times are in the section above.
Race morning 2026 details
Start on the Promenade des Anglais at 8:00. The organiser advises being in your start area at least 30 minutes before. Pacers are at 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45 and 5:00, and carry a flag with the target time. You may run with one earphone only.
Leave your bag on Place Masséna in Nice in the marathon trucks. The organiser takes it to the finish in Cannes, where you collect it by showing your number. Only the 17 litre backpack from your race pack is accepted, and you attach the label with your race number. The organiser's pages give no truck opening or closing times, so check the final information.
The course 2026 details
The course runs along the sea from Nice to Cannes with 100 m of positive climb and a six-hour limit. The finish is beside the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. The organiser's event page names the Boulevard de la Croisette, 300 m from the Palais, and its FAQ names the Esplanade des Alliés, facing the Palais.
For 2026 the organiser has changed the refreshments to cut waste. No cups are handed out along the route, so you must carry your own soft flask, hydration pack or reusable foldable cup. Food and drink stations are at 10, 15, 19.5, 25, 30.5, 35.5 and 38.5 km. Water-only stations are at 5, 7.5, 13, 17, 22, 27, 29, 32.5, 34, 37 and 40 km. There are toilets at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 km. The finish has a refreshment station with water, cola, fruit, bread, cheese and sweets.
The organiser sets these time barriers. The time shown is the latest passing time on the clock for an 8:00 start.

Afterwards 2026 details
Keep your race number after you finish, because the organiser asks you to show it as your free train ticket from Cannes back to Nice. Expect a wait for the return train in Cannes, and bicycles are not allowed on board. Marathon runners have a finish area with a large refreshment table, music, massage and deckchairs.
The organiser says friends and family can meet you in a zone after the finish, found by the first letter of your name. For watching along the route, it advises getting off at Juan-les-Pins station and avoiding Villeneuve-Loubet, which is a small station. Results are online from 16:00 on race day.
Other race weekends
Close by, and with guides of their own, are Barcelona Marathon and Rome Marathon.
